Servicing and repair of locking mechanisms
We service and repair locking mechanisms before an emergency call becomes necessary.
About the service
Locking mechanisms wear out over time: dust and moisture get in, the key wears down, and sometimes the cause is wrong use or a break-in attempt. Early action often means replacing just one part, not a whole cylinder or lock. Do not oil or grease, because more dirt collects that way; use lock spray or powdered graphite.
We service and repair, and when a mechanism is beyond repair, we say so frankly and offer a replacement. With a jammed Solid 55 lock, for example, we opened the door without damage, found a worn mechanism that was about to block completely, and replaced it in under an hour.
When you need it
- The lock feels heavy or squeaks.
- The latch does not come out all the way.
- The key sticks from time to time.
Why trust us
Locks rarely fail suddenly, and "catching" is a clear signal of wear. That is why at an inspection we judge honestly what is worth repairing and what is not, instead of replacing as a rule. Call while the problem is still small.
